Seachem Reef Complete is a concentrated (160,000 mg/L) optimized blend of ionic calcium designed to restore and maintain calcium to levels found in natural seawater without affecting pH. Seachem Reef Builder 300g

Seachem Reef Builder raises carbonate alkalinity without immediately impacting on pH. With long term use there will be a tendency to stabilize at pH 8.3. Carbonates and calcium are essential to all coral growth. If either becomes deficient, coral growth will cease, followed by a rapid decline in coral health.

Used as directed, Seachem Reef Builder will not deplete calcium, magnesium, or strontium which usually tend to precipitate with increasing alkalinity. Seachem Reef Builder and Seachem Reef Buffer may be used together. Use Seachem Reef Builder to raise carbonate alkalinity without affecting pH. Use Seachem Reef Buffer to raise carbonate alkalinity and pH. 500 g treats 32,000 L (8,000 gallons).

DIRECTIONS: BEGINNER: Use half a level teaspoon per 150 L (40 gallons) twice a week. Dissolve in at least one cup of freshwater. Check alkalinity every 2 weeks and adjust dose or frequency accordingly. ADVANCED: Check alkalinity, then follow dosing regimen above until alkalinity is adjusted to 4–5 meq/L. Each dose will raise alkalinity by about 0.25 meq/L. Size or frequency of dose can be adjusted, but do not exceed 1 meq/L per day. Thereafter, use as required to maintain alkalinity. EXPERT: After determining the alkalinity consumption rate, set up a continuous drip system. Use the following formula to determine how much to add to your top-off water: t=0.05va (t=teaspoons to add to top off water, v=volume of tank in gallons, a=amount to raise alkalinity in meq/L). For example, if you want to raise your alkalinity by 1 meq/L in a 50 gallon tank, then you would add 0.05x50x1=2.5 teaspoons into the top-off water. HINTS: Use MultiTest:™ Marine pH & Alkalinity to measure total alkalinity.

Seachem Marine Buffer 500 g

Seachem marine buffer will safely raise marine pH to 8.3. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Marine Buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, commonly sold as a substitute. Such products can raise pH to dangerous levels if not used properly.

Seachem Marine Buffer contains sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, and borate. Use Seachem’s MultiTest: Marine pH & Alkalinity to check pH and total alkalinity.

Use Seachem Marine Trace to restore the proper level of trace elements required by thriving, healthy saltwater fish.

DIRECTIONS: Add 5 g (1 level teaspoon) of Seachem Marine Buffer for each 80 L (20 gallons*). Dissolve in at least one cup of freshwater. This dose will also raise alkalinity by about 1 meq/L. Add daily until pH stabilizes at 8.3. This will take from a day to a week, depending on original pH and alkalinity. Thereafter, use biweekly or monthly to maintain a pH of 8.3. If this practice is not adequate, then overstocking, overfeeding, or other poor management practice should be sought as a likely cause. In ionically balanced marine water, Seachem Marine Buffer produces little precipitate or cloudiness. If an extensive precipitate forms upon addition of Seachem Marine Buffer that does not dissolve within ~15 minutes, then poor ionic balance was present. A water change should be initiated when convenient before further use of the product. Effectiveness improves with continued use. Do not directly mix Seachem Marine Buffer with any calcium, magnesium, or strontium supplement.

Seachem Reef Calcium is a concentrated (50,000 mg/L) bioavailable polygluconate complexed calcium intended to maintain calcium in the reef aquarium without altering pH.

Polygluconate complexation confers several benefits: it increases the bioavailability of the calcium, it provides a rich source of metabolic energy to help maintain peak coral growth, and it prevents calcium precipitation/alkalinity depletion. Polygluconate contains no nitrogen or phosphorous, thus it is biologically impossible for it to lead to algae growth in a properly maintained reef system.

Seachem Matrix Carbon 500ml

Seachem Matrix Carbon is a truly unique activated carbon. It is formed as a spherical bead for optimum hydrodynamics, and will not pack. It permits maximum water flow and contact with its high density of macroporous binding sites. Seachem Matrix Carbon has a very low ash content as indicated by its minimal impact on pH. Even when added to distilled water, it does not raise pH above 7.0.While all carbons contain phosphate, regardless of false claims to the contrary, Seachem Matrix Carbon has the lowest detectable leachable phosphate content of all major carbon brands tested. Seachem Marine Trace supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated to be necessary for proper fish health and growth. Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment.
Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Seachem Marine Trace contains only those elements actually demonstrated to be required by fish.

Seacehm Reef Kalkwasser 250g

Seachem Reef Kalkwasser is a pure calcium hydroxide with unsurpassed purity and solubility characteristics. Calcium hydroxide is used to prepare limewater (kalkwasser) solutions that will maintain calcium concentrations at natural seawater levels. Kalkwasser solutions maintain calcium directly and carbonate alkalinity indirectly. However, its capacity to perform these functions is dependent on evaporation rate and CO2 concentration. If the these two factors are insufficient you can provide additional calcium with Seachem Reef Advantage Seachem Calcium, Seachem Reef Complete, or Seachem Reef Calcium, and carbonate alkalinity with Seachem Reef Builder or Seachem Reef Carbonate (do not mix these directly with a kalkwasser solution).
