Seachem Matrix Carbon 250ml

Seachem Matrix Carbon is a truly unique activated carbon. It is formed as a spherical bead for optimum hydrodynamics, and will not pack. It permits maximum water flow and contact with its high density of macroporous binding sites. Seachem Matrix Carbon has a very low ash content as indicated by its minimal impact on pH. Even when added to distilled water, it does not raise pH above 7.0.While all carbons contain phosphate, regardless of false claims to the contrary, Seachem Matrix Carbon has the lowest detectable leachable phosphate content of all major carbon brands tested. Seachem Matrix Carbon out performs other high grade carbons by at least two-fold when compared for total capacity to remove aquarium organic matter, rate of adsorption, and duration of use.

DIRECTIONS: 250 mL will easily treat 400 L (100 gallons*) for several months. Seachem Matrix Carbon is very clean and nearly dust free. For best results, Seachem Matrix Carbon should be placed so as to maximize the flow of water through it. It may be used in a canister filter, chemical filtration module, box filter, or any high flow area of a trickle filter.

Seachem Matrix is a highly porous media designed to provide exceptionally efficient biofiltration for single site removal of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate from freshwater, marine, and reef aquaria. Each litre of Seachem Matrix provides over 160,000 cm2 (170 sq. ft.) of surface, equivalent to over 40 L (10 gallons) of typical plastic ball media!

DIRECTIONS: Use 500 mL of Seachem Matrix for each 200 L (50 gallons*) of water. Matrix may be placed in any kind of filter, and is particularly effective in a canister filter. Seachem Matrix is sufficiently large that no filter bag should be required for most applications.

Seachem Seagel 250ml

Seachem SeaGel is a blend of Seachem Matrix Carbon and Seachem PhosGuard. MatrixCarbon is an ultracapacity carbon for the removal of organic and color impurities. Seachem PhosGuard is a powerful remover of phosphate, silicate, toxic metals, and acids. Both components are bead shaped for optimum water flow characteristics and penetration. The components enhance each other and are ideal for reef and marine use. May also be used in freshwater that is not phosphate buffered.

DIRECTIONS: Use 500 mL of Seachem Seagel for each 300–450 L (80–120 gallons*). Use in a filter bag. Rinse in freshwater before use. Use caution, since product will fizz and heat on initial wetting. Seachem SeaGel will function 3–4 months.
