Aqua Medic SalimeterAqua Medic Salimeter

Salimeter is a precision hydrometer and thermometer for saltwater aquaria.
salimeter is a density meter (hydrometer)for easy measurement of the specific gravity of saltwater in aquaria. In reef systems, the specific gravity should be between 1.022 and 1.025. salimeter has a measuring range of 1.000 to 1.040, with graduations at every 0.001 and an accuracy of ± 0.0005 at 25 °C (77 °F). The normal operating zone of 1.020 to 1.026 is highlighted in green. As salinity is temperature dependant salimeter has an inbuilt thermometer facilitating the use of compensation tables for further accuracy if desired. The usual aquarium temperature range of 20 °C to 28 °C is highlighted in green.

Waterlife SeaDrometer HydrometerWaterlife SeaDrometer Hydrometer

This Waterlife hydrometer is an easy to use method of measuring the specific gravity of your marine system or brine shrimp hatcher water.
The SeaDrometer has a good range (1.010 to 1.030)
It is an accurate measure of salinity (accuracy 0.002)

Fish or invertebrate origin - S.G. Range Tolerated
Indo Pacific = 1.018 to 1.022
Caribbean = 1.020 to 1.025
Red Sea = 1.028 to 1.034

If the S.G. reading is too low, add sea-salt to increase the S.G.
If the S.G. is too high for the species being kept, add fresh-water.
Always effect changes to S.G. of your system gradually so as not to cause shock to your fishes.
The waterlife SeaDrometer comes complete with float tube and protective carry case for hydrometer.
