AmQuel Plus is nontoxic
AmQuel Plus removes nitrite.
AmQuel Plus removes all forms of ammonia.
AmQuel Plus removes nitrite.
AmQuel Plus removes nitrate.
AmQuel Plus does not affect the pH.
AmQuel Plus does not interfere with the beneficial nitrifying bacteria or their food sources.

Aquarists are now having more trouble with water quality than ever before. Much of this is based on municipal water districts having to deal with water sources more contaminated with bacteria, nitrogenous waste products, etc. than ever before. The result is that water districts are using more chemical additives and delivering water of poorer quality than in the past. Therefore, fish keepers need ways to improve water quality for their aquariums and ponds, and to make fewer water changes to minimize the risks when adding new tap water. AmQuel Plus fills these needs by controlling many problems associated with the nitrogen cycle and removing unwanted toxins introduced by municipal water districts.

AmQuel Plus does not interfere with the nitrogen biological cycle -- it simply makes nontoxic what is normally dangerously toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates at every step of the cycle. This also means that AmQuel Plus cleans up the nitrogen-based organics that accumulate and are a problem as the water ages in the aquarium or pond. AmQuel Plus lessens the need for water changes.

The amounts of toxic components removed by AmQuel Plus vary depending on water conditions. Because water conditions are impossible to predict, AmQuel Plus has been formulated to remove a minimum of these toxic components under all possible aquarium conditions. For more exact results, the aquarist will have to perform water tests using the normally available water test kits such as Kordon's AquaTru Test kits. Note that when testing for ammonia you must use a kit based on the salicylate method, not nesslers. AmQuel Plus will not interfere with pH, nitrite or nitrate test kits.

The recommended dose for AmQuel Plus is 1 teaspoon (which equals 5 ml) for each 10 gallons of water to be treated. This dose will instantly break the bond between chlorine and ammonia found in chloramines, then remove the chlorine, remove at least 1.2 ppm of ammonia, at least 2 ppm of nitrite, and at least 13 ppm of nitrate as well as remove many other toxic nitrogen compounds. All this is accomplished in a single dose.

AmQuel Plus is currently available in 1 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz sizes. 1 oz of AmQuel Plus will treat 60 gallons of water at the recommended dose

Kordon Tidy Tank Saltwater 16ozKordon Tidy Tank Saltwater 16oz

Kordon Tidy Tank Saltwater contains a specifically developed sludge removing bacteria used to remove organic debris from aquarium gravel, filters, tubing, etc. Kordon Tidy Tank contains billions (2 billion colony forming units per milliliter) of heterotrophic bacteria. These Bacillus species bacteria rapidly consume carbohydrates, proteins, starches, fats and cellulose that build up in aquariums as the result of feeding, fish waste, decaying plant matter and other organics. As well as eliminating unsightly sludge from the aquarium, these bacteria will also reduce odors that are produced as a result of organic decay. Kordon Tidy Tank eliminates debris accumulation in biofilters, preventing the formation of toxic anaerobic zones within the filter media. Kordon Tidy Tank will also decrease channeling inside of filters, allowing faster water flow and increased filter efficiency. The Bacillus species in Kordon Tidy Tank can function in aerobic and anerobic conditions allowing these organisms to function in the best and worst of aquarium conditions. Using Kordon Tidy Tank augments the beneficial microbes already present in the aquarium. Kordon Tidy Tank is very stable and has a long shelf life. SPECIFICATIONS
Contains live facultative anaerobic heterotrophic Bacillus species bacteria.

SPECIFICATIONS
The bacteria in Kordon Tidy Tank are in a spore stage inside of the product bottle. When introduced into an aquarium, they are able to recognize that they are in an environment friendly to them, an environment rich in food and able to support their reproduction. The bacteria then emerge from a spore state and quickly begin to consume sludge. Upon consuming all of the food in the aquarium, the bacteria recede to minimal population levels. Because of the rapidity with which they consume all the food material available to them in the aquarium it is not possible to sustain an active population of these bacteria for a long period of time. Monthly additions of Kordon Tidy Tank are recommended to sustain population levels sufficient to prevent sludge buildup.

IDEAL CONDITIONS
The bacteria in Kordon Tidy Tank Saltwater function best the following conditions:
pH range: 7.5-8.4
These bacteria are active between 55-110°F/12.7-43.3°C, optimum range is between 75-85°F (23.9-29.4°C).
Salinity should be between 28-33ppt. These bacteria will survive up to 50ppt salinity.

STABILITY
Kordon Tidy Tank Saltwater is an extremely stable product and will remain viable for up to three years if kept from extremes of cold and heat.

COMPATABILITIES
These bacteria are 100% non-toxic, non-pathogenic and feed on decomposing organic matter. Kordon Tidy Tank™ is non-corrosive and requires no special precautions to handle. These bacteria are not a health hazard to humans, fish, pets, plants or wildlife. Kordon Tidy Tank may be used with all of Kordon's water conditioners including Amquel, Amquel Plus and NovAqua.

Kordon Tidy Tank saltwater is somewhat copper tolerant, although the exact copper tolerance has not been firmly established.

Kordon Tidy Tank may be used in conjunction with PhosRid and SeaClear to achieve crystal clear water quality.

Kordon Tidy Tank can safely be used with organic medications such as Kordon's Ich Attack and Prevent Ich. Kordon Tidy Tank can also be used with ZymBac, but Kordon Tidy Tank will not speed up the nitrification process. Kordon Tidy Tank is not intended as a substitute for proper aquarium maintenance including water changes.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Kordon Tidy Tank is not a medication and is not intended for use treating fish disease. Kordon Tidy Tank is to be used as a sludge removing agent. Kordon Tidy Tank should not be used in conjunction with any medications, especially antibiotics. Medications will harm the organisms in Kordon Tidy Tank. Before using Kordon Tidy Tank in any aquarium that has been medicated, perform at least a 20% water change and use fresh activated carbon to remove any remaining chemotherapeutic agents.

Ultraviolet sterilizers and protein skimmers should be turned off for up to a day after application.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Shake well before using
2. Add 2 teaspoons (10ml) for every ten gallons of water (37.85L) directly into the water. Repeat dosage after 24 hours.
3. Repeat the above steps biweekly or when wanting to remove visible sludge.
4. To increase effectiveness, add directly into filter media, particularly activated carbon. Activated carbon is an excellent surface area for the Bacillus sp. bacteria in Kordon Tidy Tank.

CAUTIONS
Keep away from children. Kordon Tidy Tank contains no hazardous chemicals or bacteria. If Kordon Tidy Tank contacts eyes, rinse with water. If ingested, contact a physician and bring Kordon Tidy Tank product container with you. Overdosage up to five times label dosage is harmless to the aquarium.
