Kent Black Water Expert simulates water conditions in natural tropical waters. It encourages spawning and aids the hatching process. Black Water Expert improves color and vigor of fish and reduces stress.

Its naturally chelated iron, vitamins and other organic compounds accelerate cell division and stimulate root systems in plants, providing for luxurious green plant growth, yet it does not cause unsightly algae growth. Black Water Expert is similar in composition to rich soil in a bottle.

Addition of Kent Marine Blackwater Expert to an aquarium tints the water a light brown or yellow color, creating conditions much like those found in the Amazon region of South America. Kent Pro Tech Coat Freshwater neutralizes chlorine and heavy metals. It restores the natural slime coating to relieve fish stress, calm, and protect against abrasion. It helps acclimatize fish to new surroundings. It can be used when preparing tap water, making water changes, adding new fish, handling fish, transporting fish, or when fish are wounded. Pro Tech Coat Freshwater is different than competing products because it contains only costly polyvinylpyrrolidone as the coating ingredient. This same product is FDA approved as an ingredient in human medicinal and nutrition products. Competing products contain cheap fillers such as aloe vera and carboxymethylcellulose which then decay in the aquarium and lower the redox and the overall water quality. Pro Tech Coat Freshwater does not affect biological filtration and is safe for all freshwater species including sensitive Discus and Tetras, as well as live plants. Kent Marine Poly Ox 8oz

Kent Marine Poly Ox is an organic material oxidizer. It does not contain any algaecide. It assists in preventing growth of various cyanobacteria (commonly called red or blue-green slime algae) by simply removing their food source. Kent Marine Poly Ox will oxidize leftover food, and dissolved and suspended organic matter. This will increase the water quality and provide a better environment for your fish and invertebrates!

Considerations for use: Poly Ox is strong and should be handled with care! It stains skin and clothing! Tank water can temporarily be discolored. If used indiscriminately, Poly Ox can kill inhabitants, so follow the directions! Poly Ox must not be used on systems less than 30 days old or immediately after major water changes (>30%). There must be enough organic matter either dissolved or suspended in the water to necessitate treatment. While using, carefully observe inhabitants. If animals seem stressed, discontinue use immediately. If immediate termination of treatment is desired, a single dose of Kent Ammonia Detox in the same amount of the last addition of Poly Ox will deactivate this product. Wait 2 days after the addition of new animals to continue use. Do not use with chelated copper medications particularly Copper Power brand!

The marine method is completely safe for invertebrates and marine fish. This method takes time, so be patient! True algae will not be affected by Poly Ox. Continue running skimmers. Do not use with ozone, and wait 1 week after ozone use to apply. If you have a redox meter, do not exceed 460 mv! It is recommended that you suspend carbon or resin filtration during use. A large partial water change and a fresh charge of Kent Marine Reef Carbon is recommended at the termination of treatment. After carbon use, apply the appropriate Kent Essential trace mineral for your system.

Kent Marine Chlorinex removes chlorine to make tap water immediately safe to use for fish. Unlike many similar products, Chlorinex is properly preserved to make sure you get a fresh, potent product. It is also stronger than other products to assure complete chlorine neutralisation.
In many areas, water authorities are introducing chloramines, a complex of chlorine and ammonia to prolong the chlorine action in killing bacteria. If chloramine is present, Chlorinex will break it down into chlorine and ammonia and neutralise the chlorine. The ammonia will then be released. Depending on the pH of your aquarium and the amount of water you change, there could be toxic levels of ammonia present.
